I am curious about this dovetail. I just saw an ad for Robin Casady tip-in dovetails. Has anyone used this piece of equipment with their mount? HOw do you or did you like it?

Andy-- Then it sounds like this type of dovetail saddle would be just as sturdy and stable as the original. Anybody else actually used these?

Lynn,
I have a Cassidy saddle mount and really love it. It like the Feather Touch is what I would call "Mechanical Art". BTW I have heard that one problem people have had with this mount is unscrewing the knobs to far out thus having the springs and what not pop out on the ground which obviously would be a real hassle to find in the dark. Don't get me wrong as I have had no trouble with mine since I am aware of this limitation if you could call it that. Tom Peters of DiscMount has made a tip in saddle with captive knob's eliminating this issue. I do not own one although I do have the DM-6 mount. By the photo's they appear to be of very high quality. Nice to have options.

I have purchased two cassady dovetails over the years and they represent the finest in cnc machining and stability.
