Oh my God, I've read so many reviews, looked thru many eyepieces, dwelled on exit pupil, fov, magnification, focal ratio, true fov, mag density, all the different brands......aaaaahhhh!!!

Please help. For some bizarre reason, I've narrowed ONE of my decisions to the following (please don't ask why)....on an f/9-10 scope, which one would you all choose:

32mm UO Konig or 31mm GTO Proxima (which is a modified Antares Erfle with a 72 deg afov)?

Don't even talk about 1.25" .....only the two mentioned, which are the 2" versions, please.

Thanks. I can't take it anymore and need help from my overanalysis compulsion.

Hi, Oz.

I can' address the two comparatively, but I can tell you that at F10 the GTO Promixa will not be a disappointment. It's the best moderately-priced widefield eyepiece I have ever used.

Do not under any circumstances go to the eyepiece forum and read the string on Siebert's 32 mm 2 inch.

Hello Oz!

Well, you are in the middle of a dilemma... all these eyepieces are nice, but it's hard to get a final word on them, since most likely we've had one, or the other, but doubt there's a comparison made by the same person...

I personally had the UO 32mm KonigII, and loved it! quality is great, views are very nice... but ended up selling it because I wanted a lower mag wider field eyepiece, so ended up buying a UO 40mm MK-70... (a little more expensive than the ones you mentioned, but it is an awesome eyepiece!)

The Proxima might give you a wider FOV, but I have not had any experience with it to tell you if it is a better eyepiece overall... the UO 32mm was indeed a very nice one though...

As far as Siebert eyepieces goes, I've heard good and bad... but have not had a chance to test them personally.

Clear skies my friend, and good luck on your decision! (no matter what you decide, they all seem to be nice eyepieces!)
