HELP !

I just bought a LXD55 SN 10" scope on thursday. The guy i bought it from set it up and showed me a few things and then had to leave. Problem is, tonight (2nd night taking the scope out) i set it up and everything but whats in the centing has a streak comming off of it. The night he brought it over it wasnt like that, but it is now. Is that just collimation or is something seriously secrewed up? If it is just collimation can i fix that but playing around with the screws while looking at the moon or something?

First off RELAX!
Are you talking about a focused star that has a streak coming out of one side? Or are you talking about a streak on the corrector?
If it's a star - try to defocus it and see if the center obstruction is off to one side. If that's the case you need to collminate you scope. It's easy once you know how.
