Have you ever thought of buying a Takahashi C-400? I think I may have to settle for a 16" SCT OTA myself some day but I could just paint it I guess :-)

The ultimate Takahashi. A 16" classical cassegrain in an observatory. Just need to sell my Mercedes . . .

Actually I did see the scope a while ago. Unfortunatley at 140lbs. Then add finder scope, rings, and whatever else you want on it, then you need a mount that would really put you over the edge. The M400 is about $49,000. That will be cheap compared to the mount you will need.

If I ever win the lottery though my wife already knows that I will be ordering one with all the extras one coupld wish for.
