Well, with knees knocking and after taking 2 blood pressure bills I started my first primary mirror cleaning. After about 1hr. I had removed the the mirror cell from the tube, removed the clips holding the mirror into the cell, filled the kitchen sink with warm distiled water and a bit of dish soap, let the mirror soak for about 1/2 hr. I Removed the mirror from the sink and rinsed it with distiled water. I then went over the mirror with wet cotton balls very very gently, and then rinsed and went over it again and rinsed again then used q-tips the dry any spot's. The only thing I don't understand is that after using a scrub pad to remove the stuck on dirt how do I get the mirror to shine again :S Thanks Floyd for all your help, it came out great.

Charles,

Since he states at the end that it came out great I presume he's joking.

Years ago at Stellafane, I discovered a guy two camp sites over using "elbow grease", Soft Scrub and paper towels to clean the corrector plate on his C8.
