OK I have $500.00 with somethings name on it but I don't know what. Let me start by listing what I do have
1) XT10i
2) Starblast on an EQ with clock drive
3) PST ( HA)
4) a good but not great set of EP's
5) 2" filter set with ultra block, sky glow, moon, Blue, Red
6) 5mw laser pointer ( for helping my 11 year old find things )
7) Telrad
8) laser collimator
9) Sky atlas 2000
10) ToUcam pro ( coming )
11) Membership in 1 1/2 clubs ( filled out the form but have not yet sent it in )

So, what name should it put on this $500.00 Bill ... An I don't mean yours.

Thanks for all your help & Happy New Year to all

Robert,
"a good but not great set of EP's"
I always managed to get rid of excess (and future) $100's by investing in eyepieces.
Really though, I'm a firm believer that great EP's are worth their weight in gold. (well, silver maybe...)
Hard to say, without seeing your collection, but if you can work a really nice EP or two
into your collection, at appropriate focal lengths, it will pay off huge dividends.
And you can use them forever, even as you upgrade scopes.
Just my $200 worth...

No doubt about it (I used my own $500 for this!). You'll actually have a bit left over (but not very much!)

I'd go for a Binoviewer.

OK first, thank you all for your suggestions; some were good, some were great, and some were …. Well thank you anyway.( LOL)

Here’s what I did; it seamed like the majority of you said get something grab & go … But we do have a brandy new Orion Starblast on an gem … but that needs cool down time …not a lot but some. So I went for an 80mm short tube f6 on an EQ4 mount with clock drive, a set of rings for the PST so I can stack it on the new 80mm, some Baader film to make a filter's for the 80mm, Starblast and an offset filter for the XT10i. And knowing that my Wife never reads anything on this forum a Tela Vue 24mm Panoptic. Ya I went a little over the $500.00 but she will never know. ………aaaaaaaa ……..

NO HONNY IT ONLY COST $499.95 PLUS TAX ….. boy gota love that tax
