Man I lucked out! grin Just got my hands on a new mirror. A brand new Zambuto 10" f/6. smile Time to build a nice planetary scope now I guess. Now where the heck do I start?

You can send the mirror to Teeters, or build the scope your self!

I'd say for one of the prettiest scopes out there, Rob Teeter definitely does a nice job. He tends to work with longer focal lengths as well, he makes "Planet Killer" scopes.

If you like wood working and that type of stuff, pick up the book by Dave Kreige and start designing a scope around the mirror! Join the Yahoo! BigDob group if you already haven't (assuming you have since you own a few already) and ask for ATM references.

Floyd,

Do you want a truss or a tube?

Do you want to do it yourself or have someone else do it for you?

If a planet killer, are you planning on tracking? (a nice gem mount is killer on planets).

Floyd,

You could also think about getting Normand Fullum to do a nice tube for you. His scopes are beautiful works of art; something to keep in the family in my opinion.
