Can anyone recommend a good minus violet filter that will screw into an 1-1/4" eyepiece? I have been somewhat satisfied with the images taken with my Orion short tube 90, with the exception of the violet rings around the brighter stars. Lumicon does not have one to fit. Thanks for looking.

There's one by Sirius Optics that screw into the 1.25"
eyepiece, a very nice well-made one ideed, Mike.

Mike,
You might want to check out the Sirius Optics NPC filter.
It is a combination minus violet/contrast enhancement filter. It is currently available from APM
(http://apm-us.com).
