Here is my latest addition to my scope mods. Have not had a chance to try it yet. It is 1/16" ABS lined with black Velvet and uses Velcro to hold it together to form a circle and then allow it to be stored flat when not in use. It fits up against the Spider Vanes and held in place by friction.

Hey Floyd,
That looks pretty sharp. Good idea.
I was thinking that you'd already done about everything you could. Should have known you'd come up with something! 8)

I like it! Might also help to keep observer
heat out of the light path. Where did you
get the ABS? Does the velvet pucker or gap
when you roll it-up or store it flat?
I might try self-adhesive flock paper instead,
though the velvet sure looks nice.
