I recently had a Pronto for sale on Astromart. A user committed to me, going so far as to to say that the funds had been sent and even gave me the cashier check number and bank it was supposedly drawn on. I took him at face value and turned away two other buyers. Believing our deal was finalized I went ahead and completed a transaction I had committed to with another Astromart user (I uphold my deals)thinking the funds were in the mail. Now the guy contacts me and says that he has to back out on our deal two days later.
Now, I understand that sometimes for legitimate reasons people have to back off a deal. I was not given a reason or explanation. To me this is a serious breach of Astromart protocol of offer and acceptance. I am not happy.
Lastly, I as a vendor am trying very hard to bring new and exciting things to the astronomers and Astromart users. My recent venture into this arena has so far cost me money. As a vendor every time I place a personal ad for something I want to sell or buy I pay for it. My ads aren't free like other users. Please consider that when you commit to any vendor. Now I have to place another ad at a cost to me.
