Which 2 of 3 AP scopes you will choose.

Let's say you have been waiting long enough for 105,130 & 155 AP scopes (That means you are finally sending your first born child to kindergarden). And let's say you are limited to choose only 2 of the 3 scopes. Which 2 you will chose. I know there are many many reasons for your decision basis. But I'll just like to hear from you fellows.

I agree with Mitch......AP130 f6 and the 10" AP Mak-Cass (my dream combo) - I have the 130 and I'm just waiting/hoping to pick up a Mak-Cass someday (anyone got one they want to sell?).

If we have to pick between the three you listed, the 155 would be my first choice. Then the decision gets tougher. I'm not sure what role the 130 would play that couldn't be done by the 155, so I might pick the 105 as a "grab and go" option. Wouldn't it be nice to have to worry about the decision though? You really can't go wrong!

It all depends what you want to do with these scopes, if you want an apo for planetary observations then the 6" is the best choice, I have one, and it is borderline in size if you are expecting any serious planetary detail.
As for your question, I will choose the 155 and skip the others, or, buy a heavy mount with the price of the second scope.

Thanks,

I'd get whichever _one_ of the AP's best suits your intended use, and get a 12.5 or 14" Starmaster for the other one.

But if you've already got the large-aperture niche filled, or if you've just got to have _two_ AP's, get the Traveller and the 155. The Traveler gives you a great portable scope and wide-field views, and the 155 gives you as much aperture as you can get in a new Astro-Physics. And two scopes just an inch apart in aperture seems redundant.

(got the 130, saving for the Starmaster).

105 - widest field, and legal air line carry-on case.
155 - most aperture for best lunar, planetary, and deep sky views.
130 - with the other two "allowed," not much point, IMHO.

130 and 155, with the 155 having the highest priority.

Obvious first choice is AP155.

Second choice depends how important airline
portability and carry-ability are to you.
If your business travel routinely takes you
to dark sky sites, then the AP105 is it.
