After viewing the sky for 18 months with my 120mm reflector I'm wanting a bigger scope. I'm on a budget and $500.00 or a little more is the most I can spend. I've been looking at the Celestron Starhopper Dob. The one I'm looking at is the 10" at F5. I'm really into deepsky and would love some advice from the pros here on this scope. Or something maybe better in this price range

I think the starhopper is a great scope, I personally own 2 Orion Dobs, but I would not hesitate to buy a Celestron. 10" apeture is a great long term sized scope to own, you will be completely overwhelmed with the apeture difference. I mean that in a good way too.

As my friends Bob & Dave already said, you are gonna have a blast with that BIG GUN, so go for it, and have fun! 8)

The Orion and the Celestron Dobs are pretty good, you'll be happy with either one... really, can't get much better than that for the money you'll spend...

Clear skies, and Good luck! wink
