Have you seen this eye on the moon?

I observed it September 22 this year, one day after the full moon. It's very detailed resemblance to a human eye looks like an artist must have created it. I had never seen or heard of it before and was wondering if anybody else was familiar with it. A moon atlas refered to this area as 'Palus Putredinus'. It looked much better binoviewed at 140X thru my 12.5" Portaball. This image has been flipped to resemble the view thru a newtonian reflector, that is, up is down and left is right.

Actually, if you turn it over, the area you have circled looks like a cat's face.

Maybe the cat is crawling out of a fog on little cats feet.
