Here are links to last night's Saturn and today's Jupiter. I think that dark spot near the GRS has stalled a bit and maybe gotten darker. Anyone else see that?

Twenty minutes after I shot Jupiter I got totally clouded in. Hope it clears for Mars tonight. BTW, I did a high power tweak on collumination on the C8 and think that helped.

Hi Paul,

These are really good images. The seeing this morning wasn't up to par for me, so viewing your images made my morning.

Really interesting features on Jupiter's SEB rift, the dark spot following the GRS, SPR ovals and NEBs. Saturn shows great detail as well with its ring's upper right quadrant appearing ruddy in hue. Additionally, it looks like there's a very tiny dark spot just to the left of center in the south pole, unless its an artifact.

Thanks again, Sol Robbins

Paul,

Thank you for posting your excellent and detailed images of Jupiter and Saturn.

The image of Jupiter shows a wealth of detail, including the Great Red Spot (GRS), long-enduring oval BE (large white oval over the STB f. the CM), activity within the South Equatorial Belt (SEB), festoon activity over the NEB-S among other features recorded.

The image of Saturn shows much detail across the globe and rings. The SEB is clearly visible as well as the dusky South Polar Region (SPR).

Please keep up the good work.

Carlos
