The issue of our personal codes regarding female safety can be settled with two simple questions.

1. You see a small woman being beaten merciously in public by a man far larger than you. Will you step in and take the hits for her?.

2. You see a large woman beating a small woman merciously in public. Will you shield the small womans body with your own and take the hits?.

Without ellaboration....are there ANY no's?. I rest my case. -Larry

It exposes the basic underlying strengths & principles be it civil or warfare. Those principles are what we are. There is no white-wash, rationalizing, or deviation from them.

History has shown these truths are fundimental instincts over all the animal kindom without exception.

Since, IMHO, nobody could ever say exactly how they'd act in any given situatuion, i cannot address your question without elaborations or qualifications. i will share these anectdotes regarding scenario 2:

A coworker of mine once stepped out of a bar to get some fresh air and saw a large woman beating (the stuffings) out of a much smaller woman. This fellow, filled with a sense of justice (and a few beers,) intervened, rescued the small woman, and not only was beaten roundly about the head by the larger woman, but was generally thrashed by her husband and brother as well who blindsided him. It cost him two teeth, bruised ribs, and several stitches.

i once saw an altercation between two women in a public place. They each stepped back, fished knives (!) out of their purses, handed their purses to their respective husbands/boyfriends, and went at it. When the men tried to intervene, they were also greeted by the slashing blades.

In general, my advice is NEVER intervene in a woman to woman fight! The women can handle things just nicely without us, thank you very much.

I'm not sure what this test proves exactly, but I'm calling the cops.

Sweet the coming on
Of grateful evening mild; then silent night
With this her solemn bird and this fair moon,
And these the gems of heaven, her starry train.
