The White House opposes requirements that workers on planes, trains, and passenger buses wear masks during the pandemic. Trump golfed all weekend long at one of his golf clubs. The private school that Barron attends is prohibiting in-person learning until at least November. The White House is continuing its character assassination of Dr. Fauci. The RNC is barring journalists from attending its convention citing coronavirus concerns. Trump continues to assail mail-in voting and to attack the USPS. We can be sure there will continue to be no real vision of national interest in this pandemic coming from this White House. Instead, we will only get small and selfish acts; in other words, if it doesn't benefit Trump personally or politically, then he is not interested.

All true, of course,  and I would add that Trump is earnestly developing a strategic action plan aimed at defunding the postal service in cooperation with the postmaster general who was previously a Trump campaign official. The goal is to delay and or prevent the timely delivery of mail in ballots thus depriving millions of a legitimate venue of voting...

The point is more the blatant contradictions and hypocrisy. We must open schools now, but journalists can't attend the RNC convention because of coronavirus concerns, but Trump's children and grand-children will not be going to in-person classes. Trump is supposedly going to strike a new tone and take the pandemic more seriously. He even gets on TV and touts mask-wearing, but then the WH opposes common-sense measures for public transportation. You only get this kind of inconsistency and mixed-messaging when there is no coherent plan, and only the desire is to do whatever appears as immediate personal gain.

Can't wait to hear all of the BDS posts from these guys. Mel's already got a head start with his Biden bashing.

You might have to wait a few weeks Jim.  Before the BDS sets in for real, we will have weeks, maybe months of childish whining about the "illegitimacy" of the election because of mail in.  Everyone knows that mail-in equals D fraud right?  The whiner in chief is already whining about mail-in fraud 24/7, I presume to set up some sort of childish excuse for his defeat.

I agree with that leftist rag, the Wall Street Journal.  If this is Trump's issue, he ought to acknowledge defeat and drop out now.

Hi Darian,

I am trying to appreciate your position, but I'm really having a hard time.  Yes Trump will win Louisiana, and I don't doubt that most of your friends and relatives are going to vote for Trump even though I would also guess that most of you find him distasteful.  But Biden, Pelosi and crew are more distasteful.  I can appreciate that.  This is mostly why I voted for Trump the first time.  I despised HRC and her condescending BS that much.

Still, for Trump to win he has to repeat his implausible '96 win in Michigan, Wisconsin, Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania.  I haven't verified, but I think Trump can only lose one or maybe two of the smaller of those states and still eke out an electoral college win.  He has -0- margin for error.  Maybe the coronavirus is just a bad luck draw, but it is reality.  The economy sucks because of this.  How can you be confident that Trump will win given the truth that he has no margin for error and the economy is in the tank?

I think Trump might lose the election under these economic and social circumstances even if he was personally popular.  Since he is not popular, I would not touch Russ's bet with a six foot pole while wearing a mask.

Jim, you certainly spend considerably more time than I do looking at all this information, since I spend absolutely none.😉
I'll certainly admit that it's within the realm of possibility that Trump may lose, but I find it difficult to believe that Trump supporters from 2016 are going to jump to Joe Biden. There is such a stark contrast between the two individuals. I suspect that Trump will acquire more of the black vote; I hardly think that blacks are enthusiastic about Biden.
The media will do everything they can to promote Biden and discourage Trump supporters. I guess I still have a bit of faith in American voters.☺️
