This isn't meant to start a flame war. It's offered to those who might remember Reagan as I do.

I kept silent during the deification process some of you conducted, and my tongue is still sore.

That must have been tough to hang on to. By the way, your one-sided assessment of the Reagan years is at least as ludicrous as those who (in your words) deified him.

I didn't necessarily agree with all of Reagan's policies, but I did agree with most of them.

I'm curious, to those who do not believe he was a great man or a great president, whom would you regard as such? By what standards would you judge such a person? Even George Washington and Thomas Jefferson owned slaves.

I had the misfortune of actively participating in that madness called the Cold War. For his part in ending it, I will always hold Ronald Reagan in the highest regard.
