last nite i came out of warm room to change filters on scope and had the feeling i was being watched. i looked up and saw this looking down at me. all i had available to take pic with was a cheap digital camera, i thought after first flash he would fly off but he stayed around for about 15 pics. he stayed on perch looking down at me for 30 min. the pic did not come out very good (cheap cam ) wish i had had a real camera.

[COLOR="Purple"]I had a similar encounter one time while observing alone in a state park. About 1am in the morning, I had the feeling that I was being watched. I used the dim red flashlight to look around the area I was in but didn't see anything. The feeling of being watched just wouldn't go away so I finally dug out the brighter red flashlight and looked again. This time I looked up a little higher and discovered a racoon perched in the crook of a tree about 7' off the ground just staring at me. He didn't seem too concerned about me and I wasn't too concerned about him. He stayed there about 40 minutes total before he got bored or figured out I wasn't going to give him any food.

Then there was the time a big tom turkey roosted for the night on top of the sun cover for the table at my camp site. He came in about sundown so I knew he was there from the start.
