Crescent Nebula

Hi all,
Finally saw a clear night last Friday grin
This was going to be my first ha image but it was not to be.
It took me a bit of time to find and center this,I spent some time trying to get good guiding through the 6nm filter and got frustrated to the point where I decided to just shoot LRGB before it got to late.

I think I will need to go with a seperate guidecam or get lucky with a very bright guidestar in just the right place to shoot ha.I will try again and see if I can get the mount to cooperate.

Here is the image and some details, taken at prime focus of a Stellarvue SV80L piggyback on my VC200L on a G-11.

90 minutes Luminance and 45 minute each of RGB with the Red binned 2x2
All 3 minutes long, nowhere near long enough for this dim nebula as I did not pick up a lot of it sad

Thanks for looking, your critiques are always welcome,

Jason

Jason,

Nice! You got some decent exposure time there! Granted, this object demands more, but you made the best of your time!
