Image by Tony Hallas taken with 206EDF and new QSI 8300 camera. 12 x 20 minute exposure. Note the cool tidal effects around some of the galaxy clusters. Taken on a night of very poor seeing.

Outstanding! Nearly Hubble quality views under conditions of poor seeing. This image as well as the one of m81 with the outlying structure are among the best I've seen in this forum.

Nice, very nice. Would I ever like a chance to test drive that setup. The detail is fantastic.

Rolando,
can you imagine that posting such images can be very painful for people like me who could not make a single image since january 13th? 8)

Nice! Keep posting these Hallas shots, as they are great for showing what is possible. I'd like to get back to (a subset of) this cluster sometime this summer.

Galaxies in better seeing with the 206EDF refractor. Tony added diffraction spikes by placing string in front of the objective to give it an "artistic" look cwy Oh well. The better seeing allows more definitive detail in the tiny galaxies.

Interesting galaxy shapes and faint detail, especially the intergalactic dust toward the bottom group, and the jet coming out of the side in the middle galaxy.

Image reduced to 40% size.
