My First image ever at F10 with my NexStar 11. This F10 thing and galaxies is a whole new ball game for me. A whole new learning curve. Overprocessed it a bit because I ran out at nigh at 6:17am. You can see a bit of the the daylight gradient on the right hand side .

Excellent colour and detail. The longer focal length will show off these smaller objects better if you can get the added exposure.

Great image Jose! I really enjoy these higher magnification shots. The level of detail can be extraordinary. Your image is very nice.

I too have started to delve into the realm of f/10 work. Here is my first effort. It is a luminance only image of M81, taken under light polluted skies in my back yard. I just wanted to see what the Ultima 2000 could do on a deep space target. It looks like I will need to go to f/6.3 with a reducer/flattener to get the whole galaxy. Thus framing cut off some of the best stuff (near the top). I like your image much better. Oh well... its a start.
Cheers,
Tyler

Jose:

That's a very impressive image. Congrats! I would say that this is also testimony to the outstanding tracking capability of the NextStar 11. Is this typical for this scope?
