Every time I get a new scope or camera, I re-image M101. I think this is my best effort. I welcome critical criticism from all viewers. I want to improve my imaging and processing techniques.

120 minute lum and 50 minute each RGB on two separate nights; True Technology Filters; SXV-H9 and Takahashi E160 guided by MX716 on NP-101; AP1200GTO mount.

Thank you for visiting my site.

Pretty good Dennis! Focus looks a little soft. Maybe a slight unsharp mask may help. A good flat feild image would take care of the gradient that runs from the upper right to lower left.

Excellent color and processing, Dennis.
There is a slight gradient in the blue channel as Brian noted. Processing, rather than a flat, will remove that.
It's hard to tell from the jpeg, but it looks like the master subs are misaligned.
Keep up the good work, this is very well done from your location.

Nicely done Brian! wink
As others pointed out, focus seems a bit soft, but nothing a lil' software tweaking can't fix... wink

All in all, it looks like a darn good image to me! 8)
