Hello,

I thought I would give this one a try since I don't see a lot of images of it,now I know why. It's pretty small and needs a bunch more focal length and aperture than I have to really resolve it very well.

I took the subs on the same night as the RGB data for M101.

Here's what I ended up with for my efforts,it is certainly not what I was hoping for but now I know wink

L-20x180s
RGB-10x300s

TMB115 at F7
ST10xme
1200gto

CCDStack for calibration, registration, stacking and initial combine.
CS2 for some levels, curves, noise reduction and the finishing touches.

Thanks for having a look,

Jason

I think that's a great image. You have really good color, and the resolution of the image is really good. It has almost a 3-D feeling to it. You've gotten a great image with your focal length - no need to apologize!

Jason,
Nice cluster. Your comments are interseting in that this one is one my list this year for a "revisit". I think I will try it at about 1600 mm.

That is great. Looks like every star has some color, and they are all nice and sharp.
