Hi everyone,
Here is another from Friday night.
This is 20 3 minute subs processed as a tiff in IP with DDP
with some curves, levels and sharpening in photoshop.
I thought I would be able to get more out of this but I cant keep the core from blowing out if I stretch it any farther.

Tec140 at f5.6...edit,I actually shot this at f7
ST2000xcm
G-11

Comments,suggestions always welcome.
Thanks for looking,
Jason

That is a beautiful image and the processing looks very smooth and natural!

Jason try using shorter subs next time the core looks saturated before stretching but still a nice shot.

Try selecting the center, (and putting it in a higher layer), and then inverting the selection, and processing the non-centered with more stretching. Then paste the center back in with feathering the edges.

(By the way--the original is nicer than any of my effort, so don't think I think I really know better than you!

Jason,
I like your M5 processing, especially that you haven't obliterated the core. It shows the object in context and doesn't have that artificial look that some globular astrophotographs display.
