'Meade DSI Pro With LRGB?

I am looking at a used 'Meade DSI Pro With LRGB, for about $230. Is this a good deal for beginner ccd imaging with a celestron 8" Ultima PEC?

Thanks,
Chris

You can buy it new from Anacortes for that amount. It is a nice camera, not as good as a DSI Pro II, but still pretty good.

Chris,
I'd say get one. It's great that you can now get your feet wet in this hobby for a very minimal investment. The big difference, as far as I know (probably not much!) is that you'll have a smaller image with the DSI Pro versus Pro II. Great thing is, if you like the hobby and want to invest more (and more and more and more...) the DSI Pro makes an excellent guider.
Have fun,
Larry

I would also recommend getting a focal reducer, the 6.3 or even the 3.3 to get your focal length down. This will make imaging considerably easier.
Have fun.
