Well, I am in the process of purchasing a Intes Alter f/6 MN-66 Mak-Newt for imaging. I wanted to give this type of scope a shot to see what more aperture will accomplish, without spending enough money to buy a new car!
This will give me a smaller FOV for the galaxies and such as well as a smaller pixel imaging resolution, which I hope will give me better resolution on these objects. The wide field is great, but for smaller objects they just get lost in the view and you have to crop and enlarge which is counter productive for details.
This will be an interesting challenge I think. I have heard great things about these scopes, know for great contrast and APO like views. Mark at Teton Telescopes was kind enough to give me some insight into these scopes and how it would work with my G-11.
Maybe I will be able to post something in the next month or two.
