NGC 2158

Hi all,

Here is an image I shot last night of NGC 2158. It was probably my last chance this year as during my last frame, I could see the roof of my house in the finderscope. Details on the image. I sometimes wonder if 6x900 is better or worse than, say 18x300 as far as LP (or anything else) is concerned. At any rate, considering almost a full moon and 3 mag skies (with no moon), I'm not unhappy.

Thanks for looking.

Paul,
Yep, LP and full moon - not a happy place. However, a very nice image resulting. I like the FOV you have done (out a bit wider). Many clusters look good in a wider field. In this case, you also got a section of M35 as well in the upper left corner.

With a lot of extraneous light, my choice is usually to go for more, shorter subs.
