This was another shot I got in from my Coonabarabran trip, and another first for me.
Exposures were 2 minutes x 30 and again shot through the 66SD/.8 reducer with a SXV-H9C guied through a ZS 110 on a G11 mount.
AA3 used for combine & align and CS2 for post processing.

Well, I hadn't seen this when I responded to your earlier reply to my message. It's excellent--and seems you don't suffer from the 2 minute subs at all. Was this RGB or is there an L in there?

Hi Louie,
Your detail looks good, but it looks a little too green on my monitor. Decreasing the green color balance in Photoshop brought out the blues and reds for me.
Do you have pictures of your Coonabarabran site? I'd be interested in seeing it.

Another sweet shot! A slight green tinge to it though.
Man, Coonabarabran must be the place to go eh? How does it compare to other dark sites you've been to in NSW? Where did you image from? On a backstreet or area of bush or something or someone's place?

The closest I have seen to it is near Inverell and that was nice.
My friend has a farm at 700ms elevation at Bundarra ( west 150km of Coffs Harbour where the jet stream seems to flow straight. That seemed to have above average seeing and incredible transparency. Not to mention virtually zero light pollution.
