I am attaching an image of M42 I shot last night with my C925 at prime focus and Atik 1HS-2 camera. It is a series of twelve 10 sec exposures. This is the raw as it was processed in Registax. Just out of curiousity, what would be my next step? I know it's not a great image, but it's my first... grin

HEY PAUL! what are you doing out of your "planetary" boundaries? wink
Good to see you around here!

I would probably invest in a focal reducer, like an f/6.3 or an f/3.3 so that you can have less magnification/wider fovs. M42 is a very large target, and the cameras that we have use a very small size CCD chip, and you can't fit much in there... wink
