If I am going to try some CCD imaging with my Celestron Ultima 8... As I read and learn more, I understand that focusing may be an issue. I also notice that these focusers are expensive. Any recommendations.....

Thanks,
Chris

Focusing will be an issue, no matter what. It needs to be dead-on if you want your images to be the best they can be.

The best focuser would be the one that keeps your hands away from the telescope, as any vibration would be transmitted to your scope/camera, and would make harder to Fine-Focus...

Of course, the better the focuser, the more expensive it will be... no way around that.

Due to my tight budget, I rely on patience and a dual speed William Optics crayford focuser for my SCT... and go back and forth between IN-Focus and OUT-Focus until I get the feeling for the best setting.
