Hi all,
After seeing the great bubble images lately I decided to give it a go myself last night.
Three 30 minute subs and a five minute just for good measure grin
I think I missed focus a little so I am somewhat dissapointed with the final result.Tec140 at F7 with a ST-2000xcm.
Thanks for looking,
Jason

Jason, it might be a little "soft", but it is a very nice image nonetheless...

I'm sure you'll get a PERFECT one soon... wink

Thanks for sharing, and keep'em coming!

It looks good Jason. I'll bet that TEC will focus sharper if you take a little more time. It is a wonderful scope.

How do you evaluate focus when focusing?
Are you using automated focusing?

Jason,

This is a very nice start! As far as focusing is concerned, I am of the philosophy that next to the mount (What mount did you use, BTW?), focusing is a critical part of imaging. Get a motorized focuser, preferably one that can be computer-controlled (Robofocus is one of the most cost-effective solutions). Couple that with FocusMax (freeware!) and you'll have wonderfully tight focus each and every time! Oh, and BTW, you will want to refocus through the evening.....
