vdB 31 and some Barnard objects

The winter storm pattern has set in over Idaho, but I was still able to get an image of vdB 31 in Auriga. This is a rarely imaged object with wonderfully subtle dust clouds nearby. Again, the background is carefully lightened to show the fainter dust clouds.

Great job. And lots of background stuff in there. Looks like you caught a meteor next to the spiral galaxy, as I don't see it going all the way across. Couple of questions: How long were your subframes? Is your "L" an IR/UV-blocking? And how wide is the field of view? (Sorry if you have posted this information elsewhere!) Unfortunately my monitor is not big enough to see it all at once.

Hi Tom,

I just love these dusty areas you go after! Beautiful image of this not often imaged area.

I had my first real dose of winter this weekend,in the form of snow sad
