Hi all,

Seeing tonight was a solid 6/10, transparency fair, I was shooting a few avi's waiting for the GRS to rotate into view but my computer did not like the -9 C night, and it decided to go to sleep (it woke up after being in my office for a while) so I took the best one and stacked it in Reg2, processed it in Images Plus.
Scope: Starmaster 18"
5'x's powermate, Toucam 5fps, 1/25 exp, 10% gain, 50% bright, 0 gamma, 100% sat. 2 minute avi
You can just start to see the Grs on the edge with the persistent spot preceding it. I think its my best Jupiter to date!

cheers

Mike Wirths

Mike,

Thank you for posting your excellent image of Jupiter. Much detail is noted across the jovian disk. The NEB and SEB show complex detail within. The GRS is visible over the south-following limb. I hope that your weather improves in the near future. We all look forward to your future images.

Hi Mike,

That's a beautiful Jupiter! I saw the same view last night and also the GRS. But seeing was hopeless (1-2/10). So I went bed right after that. But I'll process some of them tonight. Plus I got my 5x powermate in the mail and can't wait to try it out!

Clear Skies,
GY

Hi Mike,

Excellent! image, that 18" is bringing in some amazing detail, makes me wish I still had my 18" Starmaster.

Mike -

Sensational detail in your image. That turbulence in the NEB looks markedly changed from mid February.

clear skies,
