Hi,

After about three weeks of clouds I finally had a clear night last night (03/16/05)
the seeing was at best 5/10, I tried my Baader 685nm IR Pass Filter out for the first time and it seemed to stabilize the seeing some what but I need more experience with it to get a feel for how much help it is.
I may have some better images from last night that I will post later.

Lunar crater Pitiscus, 18" Starmaster Newt.,FL=11500mm, DMK-21F04 Firewire camera, 685nm IR Pass Filter, 30FPS, stack of 1234 frames from 2450.

Thanks,

Wes Higgins

Hi Wes,
Now that is very interesting. The right side of the crater looks "wind-blown" or older. Beautiful job.

Hi Wes,

Glad to see you back. That's a superb image for the seeing you had. I hope spring time is good to you, with excellent seeing conditions.

Clear skies,

Very nice. I feel your pain regarding the weather. I guess we shall take what we can get.
