I took this on a late summer afternoon in Canyonlands National Park (Utah), watching this storm collapse in on itself and fall to earth as rain. A combo of 2 shots. The sky cleared up for a spectacular Milky Way show later that evening.

This is the same spot a few hours later. Note the last traces of rain falling on the right. A combination of four frames.Be sure to scroll all the way across!

This is in the Needles unit of Canyonlands National Parks, one of my favorite places on earth. The north unit, "Island in the Sky," near Arches NP, is an incredible spot for star gazing at 8,000 ft. All of it is good due to the dark skies.

I love to photograph thunderstorms, and right at sunset makes for fantastic colors and contrast. We get some "big-uns" down here.
