I photographed this tree in 1964 during one of my visits to Yosemite. The original image was captured on Kodachrome II using an Alpa 6b. I photographed the slide with a Sony A200 with a Minolta 50mm f1.7 and a short extender. The image was post processed and totally desaturated. Ansel Adams photographed this tree many times but never included Half Dome as I did. The tree died in 1976 and was first photographed in the mid-eighteen hundreds.
