In the past month I have seen five Gran Turismos (Gran Turismi?) for sale on Amart, each of them apparently very new, from recent production. Having never observed with one of these telescopes, how does their view compare to a 140 or to the classic 130 f/8.35?

Cheers

It shows 93% of the resolution of the 140, and 86% of the light grasp. Compared to the older 130, the views are pretty much identical.

Of course, that's just a guess.

It's f/6.3 and has the fancy tube that makes it hard to resist buying one, other than that, probably not much difference visible at the eyepiece. Much smaller and lighter than the 140.

It looks like the premium over list price has finally dropped below $1,000, maybe this will help shorten the wait list.

Fingers crossed!

I'm concentrating on making a large number of them, so they do not have the scarcity of some of the other scopes in the past. The list for these is getting shorter.
