Aurora, if the corrector lens and the tube have NO MARKINGS, I would recommend for you to make a mark. A small piece of masking tape on the edge of the corrector and the tube, so that you can align them afterwards. Use a marker and draw a line from the tape on the corrector to the tape on the tube, so that you can line it up when you are done with the cleaning process...

Be VERY CAREFUL when handling the lense... and make sure you use the right fluid to clean it.

Here is a link to a cleaning solution that you can make. (I use it, and works great!)

NOTE: I personally do not recommend taking apart anything unless REALLY necessary, as sometimes you could create MORE problems than what you already have... ONLY clean/fix if really needed.

Clear skies, and good luck!

Aurora,

What is the problem with your telescope?

I cannot tell if you are trying to clean a corrector plate, or re-align it (move it around to better match it to the primary).
