EM200 USDII Question

I know Takahashi has discontinued the TEMMA EM-USD conversion kit for the USD mounts but I came across an old thread that has me interested and I wish to confirm if it is correct. Apparently the EM200 USDII mount has the required electronics in the mount and only needed encoders and cables. Is this correct and if so were the encoders in the discontinued kit different to the ones fitted to the current TEMMA Jr mounts. Are the required components to convert a EM200 USDII mount to TEMMA still available as individual items.

Also, what was the difference between the EM200 USDII & USDIII mounts?

I guess where I am leading to is whether I could, with some modification, use the AstroSolutions Hand Controller on a EM200 USDII mount...big ask I know but just curious.

The conversion of a USD II requires the soldering of connections as compared to the USD III with plug in connectors. We have spare encoders and encoder couplings as well encoder brackets, but it would be difficult to solder the encoders to the internal electronics. sad
