Dear, I am currently waiting for an AP 130 EDF that was being sold by a seller in Portugal. Since I live in Europe, I thought it would be easy, but it is not : I did chat with the seller, got a copy of his ID, and paid the amount for the refractor : since then, I have no news, it has been a week now, I am getting worried, seriously.
So, be careful, the ad is still open, don’t fall for it, an AP130 EDF f6 in Portugal, BE CAREFUL !
(Any astromarter in Europe who got trapped like me, and who know how to take legal actions, please let me know).
Many thanks
Sylvain

I feel bad that good people are getting scammed in Europe by bad people facilitated by Astromart.

I suspected the Ad Classified No.: 458297 was fraudulent and was looking to see if there was a way to get those accounts frozen.

It seems there is more than ID associated with current scams.

Please let us know how to get this to the attention of Astromart organizers and to get the fraudulent accounts locked.

Hi there...
Unfortunately not, it was IBAN transfer, all lost and my insurance claims that it is my own fault.. lawyer and police involved, it will take years and most likely I will never see my money back... :-/

There is a new post as of today 1/30/20, it uses a name of a guy who has a thin film ultra hi tech company in new york but spells his name wrong,   It has sketchy pictures of a rather dusty lens that supposedly just came back from AP re oiled.

It sounds a lot like the Portugal ad but I cant find the old pictures.  It spells wear wrong (ware) and spells Anthony (Anthomy).  No ratings, no posts , no classifieds other than a radio silence on a G11 mount from last fall.  This needs some further perusal.  472461

I thought the same, and I compared photos (I still have them for the police), it is not the same AP scope since this one has a white ring at focuser side : Portugal thief had a black ring. The case here looks much more aged and damaged than the one in Portugal. Still, I recommend to be extremely careful, it does sound weird.

I ask him about the serial number and he said it did not have one then he told me that it was old at least five years old

Beware, the current AP 130 GT at 4000 USD in Belgium by a new profile « Jeff Williams » looks like a fraudulent ad !! How do we report this to Astromart admin ?? It is the same kind of trap I got caught into an lost money ! I am 99% sure it is a fraud.
