Guys,

Thinking of getting a 365 series cover for my 12" Lightbridge but I have two questions. First do they make one for vertical storage or will the 12" to 14" truss dob cover work?
Lastly is the extra expense over the standard cover worth it, can the standard cover used all year and last?

Thanks for any input about your experiences with this product.

The 365s are designed for extreme outdoor duty. The standard covers are much lighter duty. The standard cover would not last long in inclement weather, especially in windy conditions.. I would not be comfortable leaving my equipment outdoors with the standard cover for an extended period of time. I would recommend the 365 if that is your intention. The best thing to do is wrap the cover firmly against the scope and mount with a bungee cord to keep it from flapping in the wind.

Be wary of sharp corners on your equipment - the wind will shred any cover in short order on sharp edges.

I have a 365 for my C14 and that cover is great! Well made, heavy and no doubt in my mind it protects my C14 nicely.

I have several 365's and there is no substitute. Only thing I've used that really helps keep equipment from warming up on hot day on top of any inclement weather you want protection from. I leave an LX200 outside all winter in stormy SOCAL covered W/O a problem. They are the bomb.
