What is bad seeing?

Hi all!

On previous posts I saw a very heated discussion about the performance of different telescope types on bad seeing conditions, and in one of the threads there were references to miscalculated seeing conditions.

Could anybody explain a newbie with practical examples when seeing is Good, Average or Bad?

Thanks All!

Mike provided a good one used by many double star observers. Here's another one.

I would note that this is not the Antonaidi scale. I also do not how well the minimum aperture really correlates, but it's nice to have someone at least try to.

Bad seeing is a total idiot who mistakingly presses the gas peddle instead of the break for driving 3 strait blocks running into dozens of people, killing at least 10 in a public crowded shopping area in California. Very upsetting.
