Anyone looked through the TMB/Burgess 6mm?

I'm wondering how good/bad the first run discounted ones are.
Hows the 9mm?

I have one, I don't think its so bad a little flar at the edge on a bright object. Burgess has a fix for the bad ring that they will be sending out, I got the new ring and installed it and that was that. I wish the 9mm had the same thing that way i would have two great TMB E.P.'s

I looked through a 9 a friend owns at a star party.

The preliminary look indicated it's a good deal for the price - but I don't need one unless it does something better than something I already have, and I'll need to do a head to head comparison with some of my current eyepieces the next time we observe together.

When the 4 comes out and is approved by TMB I'll probably buy one as I don't have anything shorter than a 5, and I'd like a little more eye relief than the TMB 4mm monocentric offers.

On the BO/TMB 6, I haven't looked through one, but personally, I'd hold off until they get ones that pass TMB's inspection. They're probably a deal if holding down costs is a major goal, but there's no doubt I'd end up wanting the full spec ones as soon as they're available.

I have the 9mm, my wife gave it to me for my birthday and its a very nive ep. I also have a TV radian 8mm which I have only compared once to the 9MM Bo/TMB and it was close. On doubles the Bo/Tmb was slighly better also on detail on mars but the moon was a dead match. The TV is more robustly built but thats a $240 ep compared with a $100 ep but I like the way the Bo/Tmb eyecup works over the TV radian. For the asking price of $99.95 its one of the best buys in an all around plus planetary ep. I would like to see more FL ep's from Bo/Tmb, I think they have a winner, James...... 8)
