Seeking advise on how to remove a telrad base for a 10” dob that is attached with sticky tape. Any comments and / or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Paul smile

What kind of tube does it have? If metal, you should be able to just pull it off with some effort. Warming it in the sun or with a lamp (don't melt it) will help. Rock it at first to loosen the tape. The residue can be pulled away, rubbed of, or removed with GooGone (or so I hear).

If it's a cardboard tube...better ask someone else.

Just one more suggestion, charcoal lighter fluid is great for removing adhesive and it does nothing to the finish on the item you are removing the adhesive from.
