Seeing new look today, nearly unuseable in a practical sense

Hi, I posted an add last night and today it's a new looking web site, congrats on your port over.  I have supported Astromart every year for the last ten years, hope to continue to do so.

Now for the problems.  (for information I have same issues on two different computers, both running Windows, different flavors of 7, and also both using IE for browser)


Cannot get a historical list of my classifieds, just a jumble of too large images, this is pretty useless.

Cannot see the ad i posted in the tripod forum !  There were no images

All the forums seem to be equally unusable, with very large images instead of practical and useful date table.

I hope you get this user interface stuff sorted out.


uPDATE, went into my user settings, unchecked the image icon in list choice, that sure fixed a lot with my navigating issues, I guess it was standard checked as part of the port over.  I see the username and rating are separate, so i checked both.  All users come up 'unrated'.  A few other little problems in looking up user profile.  But looks like things are coming along.

Still just large images when i go to view my classifieds even with the image checkbox unchecked, seems it's a default outside my user options?  Thanks for getting these bugs sorted out!

Ooops... one more thing... what happened to the search function that used to be up top for each type of classified?  not seeing it and was one very useful feature.

problems expected but...

nothings seems to work in any reasonable way, large fuzzy images on right side ads and if I'm paying for the website - I don't want ads on the right. classifieds are essentially non functional - total mess - useless. no need to go on really,  management should be all over this to get basics fixed first, get the obvious.
The extent of errors to launch is disappointing.

Definitely whacko here..... When I choose the refractor category for instance.  I am only shown the images (supersized) for the most recent ad.....no text, location, price etc.....If I scroll past to the bottom of the posting I see the choice for 1,2,3, etc pages and each is a new ad.....no listing of ads to pick from. That said the auction section appears to be functioning properly.

Take that back....the supersized images appear to be shown from multiple ads so large you don't get to see the item listings info with the small pic, location, price etc.

Confirmed - clicking one of the supersized images shown does take you to the actual ad for the item.

Update: Looking at "telescope making" the category says 12 ads.  There are only 9 supersized images displayed with 3 obvious blank spots (ads that don't have an image I would assume) Those that don't have an image are completely blank with none of the info displayed for the ad.....and clicking on the blanks does not take you to the ad that should be there. Clicking on any of the pics does take you to the full ad though.

Astromart is ALL MESSED UP!

I logged on to do a search for something, completely un-useable!

I tried with different browsers, ie and firefox, both are screwed up.

I tried a search for Televue Paracorr and got who knows what.

A bunch of images of someone else's stuff, none of which had anything to do with Televue or a Paracorr.

Tried different searches on astronomy items and all ended the same, in frustration and despair.

GO BACK TO WHAT YOU WERE BEFORE!

I have been a AstroMart user for almost two decades, why change something that is not broke!

Nother thing

When looking the "subscription" settings for the forums ie trying to pick which forums I will receive email notices from when a new post is entered.  There is no list to pick from.....Not that I care since I DONT want email notices for anything but ads.

However I noted there is a threads category as well and that I was automatically "subscribed" because someone had responded to a post of mine and received an email notice as a result.  I don't want my email cluttered up with this stuff but don't see a way to turn this off until after it occurs. Sounds like it would be a never ending battle

Just tried the search function.  searched on 'Nagler', eyepieces, for sale, Jan 1 2018 to today, any price (default).

I also just got what seems a bunch of unrelated results, they were i think all eyepieces though.

Yup....search is definitely whacko lol..... searching for "moonlight" in the focuser category came up with 542 pages worth of ads and includes every post ever made in the focuser category
