Ok, I was there Sat thru Wed am....one pretty clear night, one half way clear , and two nights that were "opaque (sounds better than lousy).

I hate to ask, but how was observing Wed night - Saturday?

now that we have the statistical abberation of the clouds out of the way, odds are 7 days of clear weather, right?

Forever optimistic

We also were there Saturday through Tuesday and just skipped out on Wednesday due to the prognostication. To add insult to injury, we drove 2900 miles total to get there and return and did not pass anywhere that we thought the sky decent enough to stop and observe, even with binos. What a way to christen your first star party and trip to a truly dark site.

It is all kind of a bluuurrr at this point but we had some good skies mixed in with the bad. This was a strange year for the weather and it is the risk you take when Okie-Tex is held in September. October is much more likely to have good weather and gets my vote. I did get some imaging in during several nights. The high humidity was also an aberation. Even with not so good weather, a bad day at Okie-Tex is still better than a good day at work! ;o)
