God before creation ?

I always wondered this. In the gazillions of eons before god created everything what was he doing ? What was he the almighty of when there was nothing. Was he just hanging around in emptiness with nothing to do and no one to talk to till he got bored and decided to tinker around in his garage ?

And isn't there a certain amount of vanity to create beings whose sole purpose in life is to worship you ?

Lou, I guess if God created time, then it is meaningless to use terms like 'before' in regard to creation, since 'before' implies time.

Regarding 'worship', it might be more appropriate to think of it as an individual acknowledging God as the Source of existence.

At least that's my take on the matter.

If time is cyclic, then long enough before is also a long time after, and God may not even exist 'yet'. For all I know, it might be living things that eventually evolve into a God, which is then freed from temporal constraints. How ironic that would be. But the nature of causality is poorly understood anyway, and having the cart both before and after the horse would make life a LOT more interesting.

It is really quite simple. God did not exist. God did not come into existance until about 3500 years ago when someone by the name of Abraham who lived in a small town called Ur in a country we now call Irag. The same country we are trying to steal all the Oil from.

Some may confuse the egyptian religeon as the originator of god but the egyptians were worshipping Ra the Sun god and all the other gods they worshipped were basically different aspects of the same god.
