Tiger Woods?

Anybody have any thoughts on the Wood's situation regarding his traffic accident and his wife breaking out the back window of the vehicle to get him out? I think I find the way stuff like this is reported is as interesting as the story.

According to HLN, it was reported last week in the Enquirer that Tiger was having an affair. His wife is suspected to have smashed the windshield with a golf club before the vehicle crashed. Police said that there was no blood on steering wheel or dash from lacerations that occurred in the vehicle. Possibly -- Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

Tiger will be spending the next several years underwater, shooting fish.

Not sure where we have the right to that information unless there is something criminal involved.

Live by the sword, die by the sword. Here's a guy who's made hundreds of millions of dollars using his squeaky clean public image and now that he's been caught with his hand in the cookie jar(s), he wants his privacy protected. He says he's sorry for his "transgressions." Rings a little hollow AFTER he gets caught. Not so much hypocritical as just completely FAKE! IMHO he needs a new PR flack to invent a new squeaky clean public image. You know, the whole nine yards; hook up with dr. phil, or a famous religious personality to show how much he's suffering, then hire a team of PR people to document what a precious home life he has, then finally hit Oprah or Katie Couric to do a fluff piece on him.

I hate to be cynical, but after all, haven't we seen this a dozen times before? I mean, aren't we really a celebrity-obsessed culture and don't we give them a pass on everything? That's why we get all these stupid reality shows with their insufferable contestants, we get the presidential dinner party crashers and the balloon boy parents. And with all the pressing problems we have, I just can't find too much compassion for these celebrities.

To me this is really a nothing story. It's not like he's the President or some other elected official who could potentially compromise national security in a situation like this. Also when I see an interview with him, he's always talking golf. I never see him on a soapbox like so many celebrities. He's never preaching to us to behave in some way he doesn't. If anything it's the press that disgusts me in this story.
