Greetings all,

I have done the Bubble in straight LRGB in the past I wanted to get an Ha data set and some RGB color for it as well. A full size image and exposure / processing details are at:

http://jthommes.com/Astro/NGC7635.htm
(be sure to click on the image for full size)

This object would probably be best in a tri color narrow band (too bad I only have an Ha), the RGB gives a little hint of what is there.

Instrument: C8 at f/4.2
Camera: Artemis285
Mount: G11 / Gemini
Guiding: DSI Pro and K3CCDTools with WO Megrez 80 mm

Here is the earlier 2004 version.

SWEET! 8)
Amazing colors & detail Jim, well done!

I'm still waiting for the weather to cooperate... 2 months of NO scope-time... I'm starting to get "the shakes"... wink

Thanks for sharing!

I don't think that I've seen such good detail on the Bubble with a C8. In fact, I know I haven't.
The color is fine, too.
What did you use to get it down to f/4.2?

Thanks for all the kind comments - they are much appreciated.

Ivan, two months would give me the shakes too. Actually, I get the shakes after two weeks.

Thanks Dan, The C8 is columated as well as I can. The f/4.2 is an under distanced Meade 0.33x reducer/corrector. Seems forgiving enough given my small chip size. You will notice the star distortion in the corners. The object was not centered so the left side was cropped a bit and so the distortion is more noticed on the right.
