Hi all. I tried to image M101 last night from my extremely light polluted back yard here in Orem. It turned out OK, but I had to do lots more processing than I would have liked, just to get rid of the gradient. Oh well... I'll take whatever imaging time I can get. Here is the image. Comments and suggestions are welcome.
Cheers,
Tyler

Tyler
A nice image, especially from a light polluted area.

I too live in a very light polluted area (Houston area) surrounded by refineries and chemical plants. But I enjoy imaging from my back yard, so far only in black and white.

I would be interested in what equipment you use as well as the timing on the images.

Thanks
Steven Jindra
